Prologue

Nothing was ever easy for you. If you wanted something you had to fight for it. Then as time went you realized that you were good at it. Very good at it. Now if someone wants something impossible done it is your name that is whispered. The price of your help? Any amount that you ask. The sun was just beginning to settle behind the hills when you reached the Tavern. Tired, hungry and battlescared you sat, taking in all the patrons before ordering your meal. Just as you lifted your fork for the first bite, you felt a tug on your sleeve and a small, frightened voice, trembling as she half whispered, Please Sir! Will you help me? Slowly you let the fork lower and turned your eyes toward the voice. Shocked at seeing a young girl and before you could answer she said, I can pay and pressed a single gold coin into your hand. You wanted nothing more than to eat and lay, for the first time in months, in a bed and get a good nights sleep, but something in her looks stirred a memory of another, not so far in the past who had helped you. Softly you asked, How may I be of service young lady? Her voice trembling, the hint of tears in her eyes she said that her sister had been kidnapped by an evil man because she held the key to a treasure he wanted and she feared that he would use any means to get the information from her. She was her only family and missed her and wanted her back. A small smile touched her lips when I said I would find her sister and bring her back. She turned and walked to the door, turning just before she left, and waved. Odd! She never mentiond her sisters name. And how did she know to ask me? The bed would have to wait
Armor of Wonder

They say that curiosity kills the cat. But people are naturally curious also. So when I left the tavern I had a group of followers to watch me go. And when I started to unwrap my newly acquired Armor of Wonder it was understandable that there would be a few who wanted to know how I got it and where. I now wished I had waited till I was out of town, as I hadn't wanted to draw attention to myself. But what is done, is done. So I told them of the big Orc and how he had taken it from another and had spent the better part of an hour polising it and cleaning it so that it shone. I mean who was I to interrupt one hard at work cleaning my Armor. So when he had finished I stepped out and surprised him. Caught without weapons he threw the armor at me trying to knock me off balance, and when he rushed he met my sword, Killer of Enemies. I wished I could tell you he died in my arms, but he didn't. I put my foot on his stomach and pushed him off my sword. As I finished the last strap all I could think of was that Orcs really aren't that bright.
Anjelika

The last two weeks had been no picnic and many bodies lay behind me. I badly needed rest and decided this was a good place as any to get some. Dismounting I picketed Nightmare before arranging my blankets on the ground. My head had barely touched the saddle I used as a pillow before my eyes closed and I felt myself falling into a deep abyss, haunted by the young girl's smile. Who was she? Why did I think I knew that smile? Had I seen it before? And where? Now why did I say where? As I drifted in and out of sleep I thought about how I came to be here. Before me were namless rivers, swamps, mountains and forests. About me and before me lay a haunted land whose boundaries I did not know. And a face, hidden by a mist of shadows, that seemed to be watching over me, calling to me for help. Then I felt soft arms around me and I wasn't prepared for the beauty that I saw when her face materialized. The light shone on her raven hair, the style of which highlighted the beauty I saw in her face and eyes. Her cheeks, with just a subtle tinge of colour, allowed her soft eyes to show their magnificence. They looked warm, caring and most of all alive. It was as if someone had stolen the stars from the skies and placed them in her eyes. Her lips looked, as soft and full as the petal of a beautiful rose. Making one wish that they were lucky enough to be kissed by them. When she had turned and walked across the room it wasn't like anyone else. It was with true grace and light of step that made Anjelika seem to glide across the room rather than walk. Her body was like Aphrodite and Venus molded into one stunning, ravishing goddess. Never did I see a woman walk away from me but I regetted it. I woke suddenly, drenched in a cold sweat. Now I knew where I had saw that smile before. Anjelika. It was Anjelika and she needed my help. Now more than ever I must succeed. If Anjelika needed me then I must not fail her. A man can carve from stone, he can write fine words, or he can do something to hold himself in the hearts of people. I haven't done any of those things, not yet. Maybe I never would. But first I must find Anjelika and bring her safely home.

Sword by my side, my eyes looked off into the distance. If they harmed Anjelika, everyone one of them would pay with their life. I had no intention of letting any harm befall Anjelika, though badly outnumbered, I must follow them now. I was not going to lose the most cherished person in my life to a band of killers, or to any other man for that fact. I started Nightmare forward. Knowing the task at hand would be a bloody one, I would have to demolish all of my enemies to ensure my beloveds well being, so I start on the first of many quests to follow.
Find Zendy

You have found out that one of your most trusted friends, Zendy, has disappeared. You know if you can find her, she will help you with your quest. In fact, you may just NEED her to succeed, for she has the range fighters to help you along. You decide to look for her during your quest.
