I've heard that a group of fighters resisting the Pestilence has set up a makeshift base in the sewers.

They say that there is a base set up in the northwest of town called Last Hope, manned by the few mages who have not been converted into liches.

It is said that Sir Despard, lord of the Pestilence, posted an invisible guard of hundreds of wights directly at the gates of Castle Bluddibore.

The Pestilence is responsible for the flooding in the southwest of the city, I tell you. The place is flooded from the sewers up, and only the highest areas of land are still standing. At least the nature preserve survived.

Pirates have taken over the nature preserve in the southwest of the city.

When the Pestilence comes, the very ground trembles in awe. That's what the people at Fort Barataria, in the southeast of the city, found out.

We don't have a chance.

The undead aren't naturally evil. They just tend in that direction. Really, some are quite pleasant, and only follow the Pestilence out of fear.
