  • Barrier in the sea
    Word has it that up North a huge mountian range arose from the very depths of the Ocean! Many ships have found their final resting places along it. It is said that the Necromancer's Stronghold lies beyond it.
  • War!
    Word has it that war has errupted in the Southern Kingdoms. Some say the Necromancer brainwashed 'em all into fighting amongst themselves. Suposedly there's one kingdom that has yet to fall to the madness.
  • The Tomb
    Hey buddy, I hear there's an ancient tomb somewhere underground near Shady Sands. A seer's lookin for a treasure down there.Ya might want to check it out.
  • Legend of Old Emberwine
    Legends have spoken of a city of long ago which was lost beneath the earth. It was said that a Colosus was erected before it dissapeared. It now lays silent in a subterrainian cavern to the South...
  • Pirates
    Word's been goin around that a pirate faction has joined up with the Barbarian Horde. They have an underground fortress somewhere up north near the Jungles.
  • Conflict
    Some travelers who've been up North say that the Beastmasters of the Northern Jungles as well as the Barabrian Hordes are vying for control of the South. All the confusion is the perfect opportunity for them to strike.

События

  • Shipwrecked
    You awake on a small strip of beach, your head spinning with the events of the night before. The last thing you remember before falling from your ship was an evil laughter and then a bolt of lightning striking the main mast. The strom raged out of control and the ship was dashed to peices on the reef surrounding this small island. It appears only you and one soldier survived the storm. After getting up and dusting the sand from your clothes you survey the beach. In the distance a large lighthouse can be seen. Other than that, the beach seems to be deserted. You must find another way to get back home to your kingdom.
  • Barbarians?
    A scout from Shady Sands reports that there is rumoured barbarian activity on a small island to the South-West. You should check it out.
  • The Dream
    During a dream, the voice of an old man calls out to you, Ahh, I see you survived the storm. I had intended for a much more peaceful arrival but the storm was conjured up by the Necromancer. My powers were just barely able to save you. He knows that you have the power to defeat him. Rush to Falagar, we will talk again soon.
  • The Dream:Part 2
    Once again the vision of the old man appeard in your dreams, Good to see you're still alive. My name is Astral. I am the royal wizard of Falagar. I have heard of your power as a leader and warrior and now ask of your assistance. Falagar and the Southern Kingdoms have need of your help. Even as we speak a maddness is spreading in the South. This dark evil was brought upon us by a necromancer by the name of Nar-Badrul. He has been gaining power in the North for some time. But like fools we waited and did nothing to hinder his work. Now we are paying for it. That bastard has laid a powerful curse upon the Southen Kingdoms. The leaders seem to have been brainwased and are at war amongst themselves. The unholy minions of the necromancer have invaded the south with the help of the Dungeon Overloards and poisoned the land. In additon, the Barbarian hordes have launched a surprise attack against both the South, including the Necromancer's outposts, as well as the neighbouring kingdom of Candlekeep. The Horde however only has a small foothold in Candlekeep and only occupy one city, Northshire. It also seems that the Beastmasters of the Northern Jungles have joined in the chaos and launched an attack of their own in the South. We fear that they may soon attack Falagar. You must liberate the Southern Kingdoms and banish the Necromancer from these lands. Only then shall you be able to return home. You Locke, are our last hope of freedom. You must not fail in this task. There are quests and artifacts that will aid you. God speed and good luck!
  • The Dream part 3
    Agian the vision of Astral fills your dreams. Something seems to be wrong though. Astral's face is covered in dirt and dried blood. He looks weak and near death. He slowly speaks, Locke... the demons have invaded Falagar... Nar-Badrul has finally launched his attack. He commands both the undead and the demon armies... *cough* *cough*... We fought with all our strength but it was not enough. The demons broke through and now lay seige to Falagar City. Our forces were overwhelmed and I was taken prisoner... I fear I shall die in this dank hole... The demons took me to a prison far beneath the earth... I know not where exactally. My powers are weak and I cannot break out... Help me and I will do what I can to aid you in your quest. Hurry...
  • Raiding Party
    A small group of guerrilla wariors have returned after a raid on one of the barbarian outposts in the area. They managed to steal a small ammount of resources.
  • The Nightmare
    You slept restlessly last night. Your dreams, filled with the visions of a cold and barren place. A flat plain, void of life. Piles of bones are scatted here and there. The cold wind howls and chills your very soul. All of the sudden a dark, peirceing voice speaks. So you are the one who survived the shipwreck. You can feel two eyes burning into the back of your neck... The voice speaks again, My minions will soon bring you to me. You have no hope of defeating me. Your life will soon be over and I will have control of this land. As the voice finishes, dark clouds gather overhead and block out what little light there was to begin with. Thunder rumbles in the distance and the faces of tormented souls form in the cloudes. The ground cracks and seems to bleed. Flames erupt all around you and you feel yourself sinking into the ground. You can feel yourself falling at an incredible rate, screams and demonic laughter lie below in the abyss. You wake up in a cold sweat, your heart beating at an incredible pace, the voice still heavy in your mind.
  • The Nightmare part II
    Again in your dreams you are taken to a cold, desolate place. This time, corpses hang all around, lifeless and badly disfigured. The cold wind brings the stench of death and decay. You notice among the faces of the deceased, your family. A cry of anguish and hatred escapes your lips but is quickly silenced as the same chilling voice speaks. You do not learn do you? Turn back, leave this land and you and your loved ones might still live. The clouds seem to grow blacker as the voice finishes. In the distance you can see thousands of the undead running towards you. Finally you are surrounded, the unfeeling, dark eye sockets of the skeletons stare intently at you. They slowly close in around you... Darkness follows. You awake in your tent, the images and screams of torment hang in the night. You finally manage to drift back off into an uneasy sleep.
  • War Report
    A lone scout rode into camp late last night. Being barely able to walk he stumbled into your quarters bearing a note. His wounds looked mortal. A pair of clerics took him away on a stretcher as you read the messeage. Sir, I bring news of the war in the South. Things seem to be in great turmoil. As of a week yesterday the Necromancer controls four castles. The Barbarians have a few small outposts and the Beastmasters have a very weak presence. Out of the brainwashed kingdoms, the Wizards of Isengrad and the Knights of Toralia remain. Their power is quite stong but they remain isolated in the farthest reaches of the South and pose no real threat to us at the moment. Many scouts were sent into the subterrainian caverns of the Overloards but none returned. The rest of the message is illegible and covered in dirt and bloodstains.
  • Theivery
    A supply ship en route to Falagar has fallen victim to a Pirate raid. This will cost you greatly.

If you get this for me, I will give the pendant which I have spoke of. Get going, I need it soon... Now where did I put those magic beans.... You can't help but think that this old man is a few bricks shy of a load, you leave quietly. On your way out you hear the old man shout after you, Be careful the moon bites this time of day! Good luck! You spur your horse and take off at a fast gallop.

As you near pyramid one of your soldiers notices a sizeable pile of gems laying in the sand, concealed by a bit of dead foliage from the surrounding jungle. You move to investigate but are cut short... the desert sand shifts and bony, partly bandaged hands spring forth from the earth. A dozen mummies now lie before you army. In a cold, raspy voice one of them speaks, Turn back... Do not disturb out ancient treasure... leave the tomb of our king in peace... leave... leave us.... As the mummy finsihes, the group of them shuffle back and block your way towards the treasure. The only way to get at it, and the pyramid, is to fight.

This place appears to be a small outpost belonging to the Necromancer. Small pools of lava and dead vegetation dot the base of the fort. As your army advances, bones crunch underfoot and many of your men seem to loose their will to fight. Vultures circle high above and decend now and then to pick at the bones scattered all aronund. You wisely quicken your pace towards the fort.

The setting of this place takes you back to something out of your worst nightmares. You feel suprisingly cold, despite the lava and fire which covers this dark land. This is it, ahead is Nar-Badrul. The name fills you with a certain dread. The sound of his voice comes rushing back to you. You see the faces of your dead family and feel yourself being sucked into the ground. You are snapped from your thoughs when you hear one of your men cry out. At the mouth of the valley thousands of bony figures limp, crawl and walk towards you. The nightmares are coming true. Screams errupt from the rear ranks of your army. More skeletons have blocked off the only other way out of the valley. A small smile crosses your lips as you draw your sword. Funny it should end like this. So close to Nar-Badrul only to be overwhelmed by his lowliest of minions. You rally your troops and charge into the sea of walking corpses....

We don't have the means to dispose of the Beastmasters but if you were to go in and destroy Gerwulf and his army, we would be willing to let you pass. Just watch out, my companions probably wouldn't take kindly to you being here. Return when the task is done.

Take care..., with the mysterious womans words still floating through the air and soothing your thoughs she slowly fades away, seeming to become one with the mist. Like something out of a dream. With renewed strength you rally your men and make a silent vow to keep this place from falling into the hands of the necromancer and becoming yet another one of his bone hoards.
