The times are hard. There's unrest at home and war brewing at the borders. Meanwhile bad news arrive from the outposts across the sea. The Xuxa barbarians have started raiding again. You have been sent to reinforce the garrisons and teach the barbarians a lesson in what well led elves can do.

landingThe warship that landed you on this desolate beach with minimal supplies and some extra troops seems to be in a hurry to leave. Instructions are quickly barked out: There's a war on and we can't spare any more than what you see here. Take the eastern road to the outposts. Good luck!

landing sub1As you watch the ship disapper over the horizon, the bad news is that there's nobody here to meet you and lead you to your destination. The garrisons were supposed to have been informed of your arrival. The worse news is that there are some hostile water elementals blocking the way to the east.

landing part deuxAfter you assemble your forces, you finally receive a weary messenger who reports: Two weeks ago, the garrisons at the villages received word of the infamous barbarian warlord Hrag Cack arriving at the Xuxa base. They moved out to man the mountain pass and try to stop the invasion there.

landing part tresUnfortunately, Hrag Cack's allies struck as soon as the garrisons left. One by one, the villages were subverted, rebelled, or were taken quietly in the night by fifth columnists. The troops manning the pass managed to stem Hrag, but now they are stuck there. Meanwhile, Hrag's getting stronger..

landing part quattroThe direct route to the villages is east; the unused northern path is rumoured to lead to an ancient order of mages. There are also rumours that some refugees have managed to flee the villages and are hiding somewhere underground in caves to the north of an ancient air temple.

Day 4A messenger arrives, bringing news from the front. Many of Hrag's troops are still across the mountain range, but the garrison in the pass has been successful in holding out so far. However, it also seems that Hrag's allies have managed to block the exit from the pass. It's an impasse. So to speak.

Barbarian reinforcementsThe rumour is that even more troops have arrived at the Xuxa HQ to swell Hrag's armies.
