  • Introduction
    For many years, the Northern Lights, or the Aurora Borealis (it's spelt borealias' in the game, I will NOT consort to bad spelling), filled the sky with its brilliant colours. It is said that the Lights are the conjuncture of the four elements of magic; fire, water, earth and air and that he who controls the Lights controls the elements. This, in turn, would allow dominance over the rest of the world since every thing is made up of the elements. Many were the attempts of brave adventurers to reach the far north in hopes of controlling the Aurora Borealis, many were those who perished along the way, or turned back, for the passage was always fraught with danger. Till it came to pass that one, of the name Faew, reached the Northern Lights and absorbed it within his spirit, such that the Lights were not dimmed in their brilliance, but were one with him. Having the ultimate power in him, many feared that he would subject all to slavery, but he was a good and just man, ruling only with gentleness, though his wrath upon those who disobeyed was terrible to behold. So he passed away, and the power was transferred to another of his lineage. Thus it went on and on, generation after generation, Faew's descendants were all good people and never had any trouble with their subjects. They learnt, in the span of many lifetimes, how to coalesce the elements into semi-living beings who had enough intelligence to do menial tasks, but not the weaknesses of flesh and blood. People's lives got better and better as less hazardous and tireful tasks required human assistance, They build magnificent palaces in which they dwelt comfortably and peacefully. Their riches grew as the years passed, so did the all other lesser lords.
  • Introduction 2
    Suddenly, the Aurora Borealis started to dim. The brilliance with which it shone lessened and the colours were merging into a monotonous tone. Learned scholars and wizards were brought forth for hypothesi and explanations and they all agreed that the elements were weakening in their bonding and it would surely come upon a time when the Lights, and Faew's descendants, would lose their power. Stunned at the revelation, the current descendant, whose name is of no importance (awww... =), immediately requested a solution to the problem. One of the assembled spoke of a mystical artifact know as the Grail, a powerful augmentator of magic, surely this artifact could hold the bonds of the elements together? Questioned further, the one could not give any more information on it. Scouts were sent far and wide in search of its location, or even clues on it, but they were, strangely, met with resistance from the other lords when they entered their domains. It appeared that they realized that the dimming of the Aurora Borealis meant the weakening of the power which ruled over them, and were starting to rebel. So it took quite a few years to find conclusive information and begin a search party, or army, for the lords grew more and more powerful and rebellious.

    You are Labetha, the current descendant of Faew. You have brought together the bulk of your elementals and will begin the search for the Grail. Fail not, for the length of your rulership, and the continued peace on this earth, depend on you.

    Even as of now, the lords and taking over your gold mines situated around the world. The financial situation is serious. Being a master of the element earth, you decide to divinate gold from the ground. You sigh, it is a difficult task, but for the sake of the immediate situation, you have no other choice...
  • Info on grail
    Getting your councilors before you, you request for information on the grail again. They tell you that it is buried deep in the earth and requires a full day of excavation to unearth it. The exact location is unknown, but pieces of information can be gleaned from obelisks found in each of the lords' domains, including yours. But you will have to keep your eyes open, for most of these obelisks have been carefully hidden by crafty lords to impede your progress. The location of the obelisk in your domain has been found, but will not be told to you, for it is a test. But if by a fortnight you haven't found it, your councilors will reveal its location to you.

    The other lords have grown powerful. Mayhaps it would be a good idea to build up your army first before attacking each of them...
  • phoenixes
    It would seem that your supply of mercury is low and it is needed to recruit phoenixes. You hear that the Lord of the Devils has hidden a large cache of mercury underground, maybe you should 'persuade' him to give it to you.
  • obelisk
    And have you found the obelisk? It is behind you castle, visible above the east most tower.
  • place: grail
    The Grail must be brought back to your main castle, Northern Lights, before the Aurora Borealis will return. Again your advisers request for you not to fail, for the other lords are petty and have no idea how to rule the world.
  • keys
    The lords on the surface of the earth hold keys to various other domains. It is necessary to find these keys as they are most likely hidden as are the obelisks.
  • guardian
    It is said that there is a guardian of the grail, and that if you were to dig at the wrong place, she would surely kill you. Because of this, you must find the EXACT spot of the grail, which means visiting EVERY obelisk, for if you are but one square off, the guardian will kill you.
