start1Are you listening to me? The question breaks your reverie and brings you back to the conversation you were having with your instructor. This test will determine whether or not you can get into The Necromancer's Guild. You have one chance, and one chance only! If you fail then all I have taught you has been for naught.

start2You must succeed, so listen to me carefully. Your primary objective is to obtain 10 ghost dragons. Accomplishing this task is a bit more complex. He quizzes you, What would one need to make ghost dragons? You stare blankly at him for a second then answer, Bone dragons...mercury...gold...and somewhere to perform the ritual! You exclaim somewhat proud of yourself.

start3Right! Now gold won't really be a problem, but you will have to find the bone dragons, mercury, and a hill fort in order to perform the ritual. Performing that ritual requires a much stronger necromancer than you currently happen to be. To remedy this, the elders have set up this test in a series of levels. Each level will require you to pass a quest guard before you can move on to the next. Some may require you to find an artifact, others may be of a completely different nature. But be assured, if the time comes that you are required to perform the ritual, you will be strong enough.

start4Also, scattered throughout the testing area, you will find only enough mercury to perform the ritual on 10 bone dragons, he pauses to look at you. So don't spend it on anything else! He looks at you again. You got that right? Uhhh, sure, you mumble. Don't spend the mercury. He seems satisfied and continues, To be a good necromancer, you must have an eye for detail. Whether or not you pass this test will depend on this. Make sure you look around VERY carefully. The things you need won't always be out in the open for you to take, so make sure you leave no stones unturned in each level before passing to the next.

Start5He pauses again, this time as if in thought, then continues, Towards the end you will have to defeat a very powerful necromancer. It is only in the necropolis in which you must defeat this necromancer that you will find the bone dragons you need to complete the test. The boney face seems to smile as a skeletal hand reaches out to take yours in a fleshless handshake. Good luck, my apprentice.

You took care of that for us. Now I suppose we shall starve. Would it help if I payed for them? I could give you gold or resources... I could even offer a paying job for anyone who wishes to join my army, You offer hopefully. Well, starts the vampire, A job. He yells over his shoulder Hey! Any of you wanna see if you can be all you can be and join the army? A round of good natured laughter followed by a chorus of Me's is the reply and the vampire turns back to you and sticks out a cold hand. Looks like you got yourself a deal! Why don't you also check at the house there and see if anyone else wants to join?

Even longer ago, when you started studying with your instructor, the day you decided to become a necromancer, the first time you brought something back from the dead (your puppy that was trampled by a frightened horse!). All of these memories flash before your eyes as you life is laid open to the presence in your mind.

Сообщение: The first thing you notice when you step out of the subterrainian gate is the heat and the horrible, disgusting, sticky humidity. You step into the marsh and instantly sink up to your thigh. Yuck! You think as you try to pull your leg out. You give a good tug but the offensive limb still appears to be stuck. Using what's left of your tortured mind, you tie a rope around your waist and have a black knight pull you free. --SCHHHLOP!- You are left standing with your boot still stuck. Just dandy! You think and poke your hand back into the black water to fish around for your boot. Finding it, you give it a good yank and it gives! Unfortunately, the suddeness of the boot breaking free from its entrapment combined with the force behind the tug sends you sprawling backwards to land painfully on your rear. Your troops, rotted brains and all, find this terribly amusing. Dripping and with injured pride, you stand and poke your soggy foot back into its' even soggier boot and curse the volcanoes for making the chamber so hot. This temper tantrum causes another round of braying. Sulking, you continue on.

Сообщение: In retaliation, Xanthrax created anthrax to try to wipe out the men who had recieved the gift. He infected the animals in their farms with the disease and they became sick when eating or handling the tainted meat. Many died before it was discovered that it could be treated by eating a certian kind of mold. The number of newly made necromancers dwindled to a spattering few, but the gods had anticipated something of this nature and encoded the ability in the genes of men. In time, their children were were showing potential in a variety of different aspects of necromancy. Take the right fork first. The voice interrupts the memory induced by the owner of the voice. You turn right.
