Tension has been running high for a number of years in Isarg. With a failed harvest and increasing populations, it has reached fever pitch. Now the two factions have employed mercenaries to lead a force to seize the territory and resources they need. You are charged with finishing this war!

  • Dwarven Gold
    The Dwarves guard the gold mines and the Ore Pits in this land.
  • Garrisons
    The last two mercenaries hired by each side fought to a standstill. What is left of their armies still sit staring at each other from the garrisons that face one another.
  • Mercenary Troops
    There are troops for hire regularly at the refugee camps
  • Artefacts
    Some of the most famed artefacts were lost with the heroes who fell on the old battle plain
  • Taverns
    There is only one other decent tavern in Isarg and that's in a village on the road some way from here.
  • Giants
    The Giants always have some treasures worth having
  • Passes
    Most of the passes are guarded. Sometimes the guardians are not so easy to see
  • Prisoners
    The son of the warlord you are woking for is being held in a prison in the enemy territory. It would be worth rescuing him. We have their lord's eldest son in our prison but no deal has been reached for an exchange.
  • Fairy Realms
    There are fairy realms in both territories that are worth visiting
  • Allies
    Look for allies - many of the creatures can be persuaded to join you.

События

  • A briefing
    War rages in Isarg. Two protaganists struggle for control. The traditional rulers , the saurian overlords led by Torag and the relative newcomers, the goblin blood family whose warlord is Cassius, cousin of the new Duke of Dalmania. Both sides have employed mercenaries to lead their forces.
  • A further brief
    The forces of both sides are mainly dependant on the bulk troops associated with the two factions. There are very few powerful creatures available although there are some independents who are yet to make up their minds and refugee camps where forces can be hired. Good Luck!
  • A Challenge
    You receive a scroll case from your enemies - It reads Go home now or it will be your remains that are sent back
  • Orders
    You receive a message from your current master. It reads - I trust you will soon be about the task of conquest. The people grow impatient as do I.
  • More Orders
    Another message arrives from the old warlord you serve here. It reads - You must make a major assault soon. I cannot long prevent unrest at the high taxation without results.
  • Taxation!
    The lord you are working for imposes taxes to pay for the war. He calls you in to see what they have raised and tells you to spend it wisely.
  • Dire News
    A rider brings a letter from the Chancellor of the city - The lord is dead. The strain of the war and infirmity finally defeated him. The council has decided to retain your services for now. More than ever we need his son rescued from prison to take over from his father as ruler.
  • Dismissal
    A rider arrives and hands you a scroll case. The letter reads - The Council can no longer sustain your costs when the war still rages with no sign of an end. You are to fight on up to the agreed days we have paid already and then hand over to your successor.
