A raving lunatic in the corner is going on and on about massive ships flying through the sky shaped like two suacers put on top of each other...lights flashing and everything!
Women

A women comes in, babbling about being abducted by a horde of the green aliens, experimented upon, and then released.
Farmers

Farmers have been panicking lately. It seems many of their cattle have recently shown signs of strange cuts and wounds. The green aliens have been blamed, and have been named Cattle Mutalators.

Intro1

The heart of the peaceful kingdom of Groundzero was obliterated when a huge mass fell from the sky around 10 years ago. Quakes rumbled through the burning ground for months and years afterward. The remnants of the kingdom scrambled for survival during this turmoil, settling into 4 basic clans.
Intro2

These clans blamed each other's factions for this obvious punishment by the gods. It soon became apparent that no common ground could be found to rebuild the kingdom. Then some brave prospectors returned with tales of fabulous mineral wealth inside the now-cooling crater. This is great news.
Intro3

Your lands have long been lacking in certain resources. You set out to claim the blasted land as yours, before your neighbors do. Rumours of hordes of little green men swarming through the crater you simply chalk up to superstitious peasant tales.
Recon force

You summon your best scouts together and inform them that a reconnaissance-in-force is necessary to find the best way to conquer and claim the blast zone. This, of course, is going to cost you...
Rumours5

Rumours reach your ear of the perimeter of the crater being guarded by groups of enormous green beings. The flow of news out of the region has stopped altogether, no prospectors have returned with riches for quite some time.
Recon Report

Only 3 scouts return from the Recon force you sent out. They slipped in and observed the vast wealth awaiting there. Unfortuneatly, they also saw swarms of green creatures crawling over the landscape, as well as a couple of organized armies. It appears that this will not be a bloodless conquest.
News influx

The rash of Alien sightings have brought in tourists, professors, curiousity seekers, and a new breed called yellow journalists. This gives a boost to your economy.
News results

The yellow journalists, bored with finding no new news, start prying into your doings. They discover your mistress and two illegitimate children, and blackmail you.
Spies

Spies have reported that the large, organized armies of the green folk seem to only roam a certain distance from their base. They do not venture forth far from their center of power for some reason.
Talk Shows

Desperate for cash, you agree to do a round of a newfangled invention called talk shows You barely escape with your life from 2 brawls and a chair throwing incident, but get to keep the fees.
Moon

Some people in the kingom notice that the Man in the Moon has the exact same features as the creatures you are fighting. There is mass hysteria and rioting before the night is over, costing you some rebuilding expenses.
MIB

Two men in strange black suits beg an audiance from you. They try to use a strange red flashlight on you, telling you to forget everything. Whatever it was supposed to do didn't work. You throw them in the dungeons and sell their belongings to the oddity seekers.
Resource find

Prospectors find a small stash of valuable minerals from a giant chunk of the earth that landed in the middle of your lands during the initial catastrophe.
authors

Two renowned researches go public with their findings that people were in fact descended from female apes experimented on by aliens. The public howls with laughter as Sitchin and von Daniken are burned at the stake. Morale and commerce has improved!
Tourist Setup

You finally strike upon an idea to make money off the curiousity seekers and routists that swarming into town from other kingdoms. You set up an official tourist bureau, with guided tours near the impact zone. Of course, a little investment is needed...

Raids by the Green Aliens have become more common. Many outlying districts have been laid to waste, effecting tax revenues.
Tourist Rewards

You start reaping the profits for your tourist industry. To bad since you are the government, you have no competition. The profit margin is fairly healthy.
