События

Intro

Elementals have been running amok and ravaging the land while you and your neighbors were warring with each other. Under an uneasy flag of truce, you and the other warlords held a meeting to discuss the growing elemental problem. After several hours of arguing, everyone agrees to yield to the warlord who successfully lays siege to the Conflux town that the elementals are using as their base in the central region of the area. However, since so much is at stake, expect the other warlords to try to thwart your efforts every chance they get.
Garrison Info

As part of the treaty with the neighboring warlords, all border garrisons have been emptied. Not trusting them to keep their word, you have ordered ambush parties to be setup near all borders, just in case. Your spies tell you that the other warlords have done the same, probably for similar reasons. It would appear that no one is expecting this armistice to hold.
Scouts - Surface

Your scouts report that lots of Phoenix have taken over the garrison near the pass leading into the central region, probably as a vanguard. They suggest that you will most likely need to build up your army for several weeks before you'll be able to take it back.
Scouts - Underground

Your scouts report that lots of Phoenix have taken over the garrison near the subterranean gate leading to the surface in the central region, probably as a vanguard. They suggest that you will most likely need to build up your army for several weeks before you'll be able to take it back.
Lone Scout

A badly injured scout showed up today, the lone survivor of an advanced scout team you sent to spy on the Conflux town. She told you that she barely escaped with her life. As she gasped for her breath, she was scarcely able to report that the Conflux was very heavily guarded, and that the elementals must have been gathering their forces for months. She explained that they were only able to get rough numbers, but their total force was more than two legions.
Broken Treaty

Well, just as you suspected, spies report that war has broken out all over. The treaty was apparently not worth the parchment it was written on. Now, you've got to defend against your greedy neighbors, as well as destroy the Conflux town before anyone else. You begin to realize that being a warlord isn't all it's cracked up to be.
Keymaster Tents

The keymaster in your realm sends you a message. He tells you that you will need three keys to get into the Conflux town, the first of which he will give you when you come to see him. He goes on to tell you that the keymaster from any one of your adjacent neighbors should be able to provide the second key. He says the final key can be obtained from the keymaster on the island where the Conflux is located, but you'll need the first two to get it. So, it seems that you would have had to break the treaty after all.
Air Attack

Strong wind gusts rip across the area destroying several resources that you had stored. As the winds die down, you see a swarm of air elementals flying off.
Water Attack

A flash flood washes away some of your stored resources. As the water subsides, you see a swarm of water elementals swimming downstream.
Donation

Word of your plight has reached the ears of an ally in a distant land. He has offered his support in the form of gold.
Fire Attack

A raging fire razes some of your resource silos, burning up several of your resources in the flames. As you bring the fire under control, scouts report that a swarm of fire elementals were spotted leaving the area right after the blaze erupted.
Earth Attack

Violent tremors shake the ground, and the earth swallows up some of your resource stores. Witnesses say they spied a swarm of earth elementals rising out of the earth just before the quakes began.
Elemental Raids

The elemental raids are beginning to try your patience, but no matter where you store your resources, they always seem to be able to find them. If only you didn't have more important things to do, you'd show your incompetent storage personnel how to handle those elementals. You decide that you'll just have to manage your resources more efficiently, since these raids appear to have no end in sight.
Scout Report

Your long range scouts report to you that it looks like your enemies are marshalling their troops in preperation to lay siege to the Conflux town. They recommend that you should launch your attack in the next two weeks if you hope to beat them. Your war council agrees, stating that they are ready for battle when you give the order to march.
