Despite his poor statesmanship, Aeric is a formidible oponent in combat.

It is rumored that ArchAngels guard a relic that allows the wearer to fly. Some say that the ArchAngels guard the mountains north of Aeric's castle
Fatow

Aeric's Wizard, Fatow, has cast a powerful spell that inhibits the summoning of any of the strongest creatures to a castle. Whether or not this spell affects Aeric's castle is unknown.
Barren lands

While the barren lands to the West hold few treasures, this is where the greatest warriors emerge from.
Sea Kingdom

One of Aeric's old vassals inhabits a large island to the north. It contains the only town with a usuable dock.

Once a fertile part of the kingdom, the lands south of Aeric's castle have been desolated by a fire from heaven. Only dark creatures roam there now.
Dragon

There is a huge Dragon treasure in the caves beneath Viandaria.

An Envoy from Aeric I has just left your castle. While not accompanied by many troops, I don't doubt that your proclamation of war on Aeric will cause them to do as much harm to our lands as possible. The envoy must be stopped.
Aeric

After years of harmonious peace, your fellow lords have rebelled against rule. Your wizard, Fatow suspects dark magic is involved. To curb the bloodshed, Fatow has cast a powerful spell that will prevent the summoning of the strongest creatures. However, this spell affects you as well.
Paeon

Your spies report that your attempt to turn the other Lords agains Viander has worked-- unfortunately, that same spell failed to unite them under your leadership. A most disturbing failure for your court wizard. Never the less, Aeric will now pay for your banishment, and you will rule Viandaria!
Island

As you have feared, war has come to Viandaria. Many of the other lords may forget our land, as we are not connected by land to the main continent. Perhaps we can use this situation to our advantage....
Paeon2

Aeric's wizard, Fatow, managed to cast a spell that will prevent the summoning of any more dragons to this plane. You vow to make the death of your court magician slow and painful. Now, you will have to conquer this world with your other abilities.
Meteor

Your wizard suspects that Lord Paeon's mage is responsible for a destructive meteor strike on the south of the continent. Further, it appears that Aeric's wizard has cast a spell which will prevent the summoning of the most powerful creatures.
Resources

A loyal vassal is willing to give you wood and ore at quite a good rate. Given your current situation, you'd be foolish to reject his offer.
